Robert Kain - Writer

I am writing a literary novel called Spirits for a New Man.

The book takes place primarily in California, Rwanda and Congo, and the subplot involves rainforest conservation.

Spirits for a New Man

Synopsis:

Think ‘Siddhartha meets the Alchemist’.

Bill can’t find meaning in his life. He is severely depressed and desperate when he unexpectedly meets Diane, who changes his life, becoming his spiritual guide on a hero’s journey of transformation. His mentor Uncle Alex has discovered answers to meaninglessness, he calls ‘Spirits for New Man’, but withholds them from Bill and then tragically dies before telling them to Bill.

In a conclusion reminiscent of Paolo Coelho’s “The Alchemist”, Bill realizes that the answers he was seeking were right in front of his eyes.
