Humans are pushing the Grauer's Gorilla of Congo into extinction. These gorillas, the largest primate in the world, face perilous threats from human encroachment, poaching, and forest degradation.
The Grauer's Gorilla has lost 77% of its population in just 20 years. They are on the list of critically endangered species.
Our mission is to conserve the Congo Rainforest, thereby protecting the habitat of the Grauer's Gorilla, preserving the diversity of flora and fauna in the rainforest, and helping mitigate the climate crisis.
We work to educate the local communities on conservation, protect the Kahuzi Biega National Park and its Grauer's Gorilla, establish conservation efforts in national forests where none currently exist, and promote ecotourism.
